Central America and Costa Rica are very important for the water migration birds been Palo Verde national park one of the main and interesting national parks by the wetlands which thousands of migrations birds use as a home every year.
Tempisque River is the borderline of Palo Verde National Park located in Filadelfia, driving through the roads between sugarcane and cantaloupe fields, you will find the old towns of Bolson and Ortega to finally reach the Tempisque River bordering the Guanacaste and Palo Verde lowlands.
Tempisque River is the second river in Costa Rica with the most number of crocodiles, around 200 crocodiles per mille, and is the biggest river in Guanacaste province.
On this tour, the visitor will have the opportunity to navigate up and down over the Tempisque River for approximately 1 hour 30 min. Looking for a lot of wildlife like howlers, whiteface and spider monkeys, raccoons, nose coatimundi, agouti, rabbits, snakes, and several different kinds of birds mainly migration water birds such as egret, herons, falcons, and much more.
