 Costa Rica is a new land and the geography consists of 11 dormant and active volcanoes in the middle of the country in three different mountain ranges, creating the Intercontinental dividing line of Costa Rica between Atlantic and Pacific.

 Arenal is the fourth Volcano in the Guanacaste range and is one of the most active volcanoes in the world due to its activity for 47 years.

 After the first explosion in 1968 when it destroyed the mountain and the town, Arenal Volcano started the continuous eruption activity until 2008. At any time, by day or night, the several eruptions of hash, gas, rocks, and lava came down as landslides that offered one of the most amazing shows of nature. 

Located just 2 h 20 min from the Liberia airport and about the same distance from the San Jose International Airport. Arenal Volcano has beautiful trails for hiking or trekking with wonderful views. Walking through the rainforest allows you to discover, explore, and enjoy the fascinating scenery of this place.
